The Light Horse Ultra Valour Award
Each year at the Lighthorse Ultra, the USWA community recognises and acknowledges the work of members of our running community that have given unparallel service to the ultra marathon community and the development of growth within it. From remarkable world class achievements full of inspiration, to developmental leadership and services volunteered. Recipients receive the perpetual Valour trophy and have their name etched in USWA folklore.

ULTRA SERIES WA
Ultra Series WA is Australia’s premier trail running collective of events and experiences. It is a community of unrivalled passion for all things trail and ultra running. Built on as idea inspired by the iconic Coast 2 Kosci Ultramarathon, Ultra Series WA was born. And now, several years later, we are a thriving community of eclectic runners that bring you some incredible events around the country from short beginner distances to crazy, ridiculous 200 milers, plus a store full of running goodies, including shoes, apparel and merchandise and even trail travel adventures around the globe. This running community, our tribe, is a community like no other and we invite you to come and share our passion for the trails and all things running. Find out more at www.ultraserieswa.com.au
TIME UNTIL THE LIGHT HORSE ULTRA
As the event is run as a number of 2.5km laps, there are no qualification requirements for the Light Horse Ultra. Entrants are however expected to be in good health, and trained sufficiently to complete the distance selected.
An Aid Station is provided at the start line, and runners will be able to access this every 2.5km.
The aid station will provide the following:
- Bananas / Fruit
- Tailwind Nutrition
Runners are also able to set-up their own table with their own supplies.
The Light Horse Ultra relies on the help of a big team of volunteers to make the race happen. If you would like to help out at the Light Horse Ultra on Saturday 23 April or Sunday 24 April 2022, please fill in the form on the website. All volunteers receive a 20% discount credit towards a future Ultra Series event which can also be accrued or gifted.
